Terms & Conditions

Here at AXZN Services, we want all our clients to understand our service expectations. We feel it is important to be fully informed of the services and their expectations. Please fully review and let us know if you have any questions or concerns about any information contained in our agreement. We recommend you verify that you read and understand the terms and conditions agreement before we commence any work. 

 

Product Warranties:  

All warranties are limited to those offered by the manufacturers of the products used. AXZN Services makes no additional warranties. If you ever have a concern regarding our work, AXZN Services should be notified immediately.  

 

Water Usage: 

By signing this agreement, you agree to provide AXZN Services the right to use any on-site water supply as needed to complete the stated project without compensation. If an exterior water supply is required, it will be at an additional charge. It is the client’s responsibility to make sure the water supply is on and in working order before we arrive. Additional charges will be applied if water is not available.  

 

Electrical Usage:  

By signing this agreement, you agree to provide AXZN Services the right to use any on-site source of electricity as needed to complete the stated project without compensation. If an exterior source is required, it will be at an additional charge.  

 

Color and Tone Concerns:  

The properties and species of wood, age, and weather can greatly affect the resulting color or tone of the stain. Note: Variances may occur on individual boards as well as the total project, as densities and other characteristics vary across and throughout the wood. AXZN Services and its associates attempt to represent the final finish color and tones as best as possible. While we can often give you an idea of the overall color or tone you must expect some variance in the overall finish.  

 

Courtesy:  

While AXZN Services is on location and performing work on your property, you are responsible for keeping all children and pets, as well as other individuals away from the work area. Children and pets must be kept off the work surface for at least 24 hours after our work is completed. This is for your safety as well as our own. You are expected to be home (or at least) at the beginning and end of our work in order to welcome the team and make final approval on the service done and payment 

 

Payments:  

Payments to AXZN Services are due as per the contract schedule and are to be paid by cash, check, or credit card. Credit Card transactions incur an additional 3% processing fee. All balances are ALWAYS due upon completion of the job. Any variance to this policy must be agreed upon and in writing on our quote. Late charges will be immediately assessed on all balances not paid in accordance with contract terms. The client agrees to pay any collection cost incurred by AXZN Services related to the collection process of outstanding balances. 

 

Scheduling:  

Scheduling in a business which productivity relies upon the weather can be difficult. Inclement weather may affect scheduling. We try our best to keep scheduling conflicts to a minimum, however, circumstances that are beyond our control may affect your project start and completion dates. You will be notified of any changes. Please do not book other trades on the same day. This will disrupt the performance of both. 

We understand that life can be unpredictable and that from time-to-time things happen which may result in you having to reschedule or cancel a cleaning service. We will do our very best to accommodate you in every way we can, all we ask is that you give us at least 48 HOURS NOTICE. 

Please understand that time is VALUABLE and if you do not give us notice, our technicians waste precious traveling time, and money.  We also miss the opportunity to book another job. If you neglect to give us the 48 HOURS NOTICE, we will have no choice but to apply a non-cancellation fee of 50% of the total service price. This fee will also be applied if our technicians are booked for a job and are unable to access your home at the booked time. We will, however, endeavor to contact you and allow 30 minutes leeway in case you are running late.  

 

Removal & Replacement of Deck/Patio Contents:  

Removal and replacement of grills, deck furniture, planters and any other items are the responsibility of the homeowner. Should we need to remove items from the deck, we will not be responsible for any damage, breakage or for storage issues. An additional charge may be applied for the time and labor devoted to the removal of these items.  

 

Damages:  

AXZN Services is not responsible for damages due to improperly installed siding, loose shingles or siding, broken or opened windows, improperly sealed windows and doors, wood rot, defective construction, improperly secured wires, loose or improperly installed gutters, and leaders and improper caulking. In every aluminum siding case and in some cases with vinyl siding, the sun and weather will bleach the color or cause fading and oxidation. Power washing, which entails the removal of chalky, gritty, oxidized, or failing surface materials may cause the faded aspects of the vinyl or aluminum to stand out. AXZN Services will not be responsible for such conditions. AXZN Services will not be responsible for loose mortar that may dislodge during the cleaning process.  If Damage Occurs AXZN Services will be obligated under our terms and conditions for any damage that was a direct result of operator error, negligence, or willful misconduct. Damages must be discovered and reports to AXZN Services within 48 hours of completion of service. The company will be allowed 3 days from the date of written receipt to inspect the premises and have the sole option in repairing or contracting repairs of any damages that were in fact the result of operator error or negligence.  

 

Stains:  

Some stains cannot be removed by power washing. Tree sap, artillery fungus, splatters from stains and paints are examples of materials that cannot be removed by conventional means. We make every attempt to point these areas out to the customer when quoting the project. Sometimes these stains cannot be removed at all.  

 

Watertight:  

AXZN Services expects your property to be in good repair and weathertight. This includes but is not limited to all electrical services including receptacles and light fixtures. Doors and windows shall also be weathertight. AXZN Services is not responsible for damages as a result of water infiltration from poor or improper installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical-related items or doors or windows.  If water intrusion occurs, the company will not be held responsible. We make every effort to prevent this but due to unavoidable issues such as bad seals around windows and doors, cracks in concrete foundations, and lack of waterproof. Notify the company if there are any surfaces on or near the home that cannot have any form of our cleaning solution on them. If we are failed to be notified of this, the company is not responsible for any ill effect on any surfaces. 

 

Concrete:  

The appearance of concrete depends on several factors most linked to when the concrete was initially poured and cured. When concrete with dirt, mold, mildew, algae and other pollutants and stains is cleaned, the concrete will then reveal any and all imperfections that the pollutants and stains have covered up. The customer understands that not all concrete will look the same even on the same driveway, patio, sidewalk, or concrete slab. 

 

House Washing Acknowledgement 

 

The client understands that any blemish or flaw or any existing oxidation will be more noticeable after cleaning. The client understands that company may not find every flaw and is not responsible if it is more noticeable after wash unless it is found to be of negligence on the company end. The client understands that we recommend that all outside electrical outlets and fixtures are shut off before arrival to complete washing service as an additional precaution. The client also understands if we do a site unseen quote based on provided photos, that we will not be able to note any flaws in exterior surfaces. If we do a site unseen quote, the client understands that our technicians will do their best to point this out at the date of cleaning. The client also understands that our cleaning solution is specifically designed for our cleaning services, and it will not cause any discoloration or damage. The client understands that during the house washing service they will receive a basic window cleaning. This is not a window cleaning service. A basic window cleaning will get debris off from the windows, but you could be left with water spots. We recommend removing your screens to allow any debris between the window and screen to be rinsed away in a house washing. Screens are very delicate and if we are required to remove them, we cannot hold any responsibility if damage occurs.

Gutter Cleaning Acknowledgement

Gutter “cleaning” is not literal in its traditional definition of “Free from dirt, marks, or stains” It is understood by both parties that the primary intent of a gutter cleaning is to allow proper water drainage from roof surface, through gutters, down downspouts, and exit to grade or underground drainage system. A small about of debris or shingle grit may remain in the gutter but will not affect water flow. We do not clean the outside of the gutter unless “gutter brightening” is requested at additional cost. In most cases, technicians will clean your gutter from the roof, using a harness if necessary and a leaf blower. Sometimes due to a steep roof or difficult access, they will do the cleaning from the ladder.  Debris that may have fallen as a result of the gutter cleaning will be blown to a natural area, larger debris will be cleaned and bagged. This includes but is not limited to lower roofs, porches, decks, window, sills, driveways, and landscaping. The client understands that any specific cleaning method that differs from the methods mentioned above must be requested in advance. The client also understands that if any other method is requested, an additional charge may apply. The client understands that if a downpipe is blocked, the technician may use a “snake” to clear it, and then flush using a garden hose. However, it is important to emphasize that our technicians are not plumbers and in case of a blocked downpipe that cannot be unblocked using the traditional “snake” or garden hose, AXZN Services will not hold responsibility for it, or obligation to solve this type of problem. The technicians do not hose the gutters every time they do the cleaning, only if it is required by the client (additional charges may apply) and/or when they see the need for this.  Ground drains: AXZN Services cannot clean or clear compacted ground drains. We can make an attempt to clear them by flushing out the downspouts using a standard water hose. Clogged ground drains will need to be cleared by a local certified plumber. Note that corrugated ground drains cannot be snaked by a plumber due to the ridged thin material. 

 

Gutter cleanings for homes with leaf protection installed:  

We approach the cleaning of gutters with leaf protection systems differently than those without. Removing and re-installing leaf protection is not included in our standard pricing. However, removal of leaf protection is not always required to get your gutters functioning properly. Often times a build-up of dirt or debris on top of the leaf protection blocks water from entering your gutter system and is the source of any issues you may be experiencing. What we do: We will remove debris from the top of the leaf protection system. For hooded systems that work off surface tension, we will also clear the access channel and wipe the dirt from the front lip to allow surface tension to occur. We also check for blockages in your gutters and downspouts and remove them as needed. When cleaning gutter systems with leaf protection it is to be expected that the gutter will not be cleaned as thoroughly as they would if they had no leaf protection installed. Some dirt and shingle grit will most likely remain after the gutter cleaning but should not affect the functionality of your gutter system. Gutters with leaf protection systems that have not been properly maintained, may require having the leaf protection system removed completely in order to clean the gutters properly. In this case there are two options you can choose from. 1) We can remove the leaf protection system and leave it off (abandon the system).  If your current system is damaged, missing sections, or is not effective, then this may be your best option. 2) We can remove the leaf protection system, clean the gutters, and re-install the existing leaf protection. If your leaf protection is effective and in good condition, this may be a good option.  An additional fee may be added for these extra services.
